NEWSIES DOESN’T WIN BEST MUSICAL?????? What is up with that???? They were robbed!!!! They did get Best Score and Best Choreography though which is great! Alan Menken FINALLY got his Tony Award!!! :D Best Jeremy Jordan NOT getting Best Actor was upsetting but Steve Kazee has a great voice so…. yeah. I’m going to tell Jeremy that he was robbed when I meet him next week.

Revival of a musical. It was a long shot thinking Jesus Christ Superstar would win but whatever! A girl can dream! Josh Young NOT winning his award pissed me off!!!! Everyone was saying how amazing he is and just from the videos I could see the difference in the portrayal from past Judas’ (Tony Vincent and 2000 film Judas) and I love it. I almost cried. When I meet him next week, I’m going to tell him he was robbed.

Best play. Sure it wasn’t Peter and the Starcatcher but CHRISTIAN BORLE WON!!!!!!! :DDDDDD I was dying of happiness!!!!! He deserves that award!!! Celia Keenan-Bolger not winning was a bit sad. As for best actor, I was so FREAKING EXCITED that James Corden WON!!!! His performance at the Tony’s were flawless and I’m so happy he won. He deserved it!

Speaking of performances, this years were…. Eh. Newsies dancing kicked ASS! Those guys are amazing!!! And Jeremy sing “Once and for All” was awesome!!!! Jesus Christ Superstar lacked a little but I think it was the absence of set cause a lot of the time, Josh Young was just chilling, not knowing what to do with himself. Though I could see the screening of Paul Nolan (or Jesus) really affect his character. That was a great moment! And that last note was AMAZING!!!! Evita was good! I had seen that number on The View and it was great then too. Ricky Martin is pretty good! Though to me he’ll always be “Living la vida loca”. Nice Work was good. It wasn’t like Wow! but it was good. I love Kathleen Marshall’s choreography so that was nice to see :). Leap of Faith…. I don’t know. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t like “Why did this show close on Broadway?” status. Once… Okay, as much as I don’t like that it stole Best Musical, “Falling Slowly” is a beautiful song and this one that Steve Kazee sang was beautiful with all the violins and cellos and guitars. It was pleasant to listen to. That’s the thing about Once. I think the sound of the music and how raw the show is helps with Its success. Porgy & Bess was… Okay the thing I loved was Audra’s VOICE! I don’t think I had ever heard her sing and she is SO good! Audra made that performance for me. Follies…. What? I didn’t know what to make of it. When Bernadette Peters came out to introduce it, I thought ‘wait, she’s not performing?!’. I wanted to see her! Yeah, that performance… not my favorite. Godspell was WAY too short!!! And Corbin Blue stealing George Salazar’s song? Not Cool! They should have done “We Beseech Thee”! It would have been longer and probably cooler! Ghost… Carl bugged me. I don’t know why! Maybe cause he wasn’t the original? I don’t know but when it got to the “I had a life” part into the trio, it was BEAUTIFUL!!!! Speaking of Original Cast members, where was Andrew Rannells during “Hello!”????? I screamed when Rory O’Malley showed up and was sad when Josh Gad didn’t show but Andrew doesn’t leave the show until another 2 days! The Opening number wasn’t as great as “Broadways Not Just For Gays Anymore” but it was cool! Patti LuPone!!! I was so happy she sang!!! The song about all the composers was Awesome!!! I cracked up at the Hasa Diga Eebowi part :). The closing was cool too :). Though I enjoyed Neil Patrick Harris being like Spiderman and then showing a close up on Andrew Garfield.

Even the commercials were great! I saw a commercial for “The Newsroom” and screamed at the small glimpses of John Gallagher Jr. And then there was the Rock of Ages and Les Miserables commercials :)

Best Speech: Audra’s, Steve’s, Nina’s or James Corden’s

Best Performance: Newsies or Once (yeah, call me a hypocrite)

Best Moment: When Christian, Adam and Celia were all on my television or when James Corden did his hilarious bit by himself :)

Most Attractive Man: Ooooo…. That’s tough. Um… Josh Young, Jeremy Jordan or Steve Kazee (and John Gallagher Jr. if the commercial counts!)

Most Attractive Woman: Um…. Nina Arianda is pretty. So is Laura Osnes and Cristin Milioti.

Most Deserved: Christian Borle, James Corden, Nina Arianda, Newsies for Choreography/Score and Death of A Salesman

Robbed: Newsies for Best Musical/Best Ochstration/Director, Josh Young for Featured Actor and Jeremy Jordan for Best Actor
